Hi everyone, thanks a bunch first of all to everyone who post their timelines and experiences! After reading up on everyone?s stuff, I figured I should make an account and ask a question I have at the moment.
Basically, I just received notice that my EAD card is being mailed out to me along with my travel docs. My question is - is it risky to leave the country because I had been in the States for about 8 months before my AOS application was filed. Was I in those months considered ?unlawfully present??
Below is my timeline so you can understand my situation better:
PD date: 4/20/2018
Biometrics: 5/18/2018
Physical done with civil surgeon: 5/20/2018
Interview ready to be scheduled: 6/01/2018
EAD card notice received: 8/29/2018
EAD mailed out: 9/04/2018
I really want to travel back to Canada to visit my family I?m just afraid our lawyer will say something like it?s not recommended to go or anything like that. Please give me some good news!
