Interview Process

Hey, how did your interview go?

Well it took a little more than 1 hour. We arrived about 9:15am, enter the offices, follow the process (take off shoes, bracelets, watches, etc)
We enter the room where others were waiting to be interviewed also, we sat for about one hour and 10 minutes. They call my name, took my finger prints and picture, then go to the office where we were to be interviewed, the officer asked for the original following documents: passports, birth certificates, marriage certificate, divorce degrees, tax and w2s for 2017), next he took our photo album and watched the pictures, asked questions and took out some pics he wished. He begin asking me questions about my husband information (parents name, ex wife?s name, how many kids he has, if I knew their names? I told him their names, where did we meet each other, when did my husband proposed to me, when was the last time I came in the country, where does my husband work, when and where did we get married, who attended the wedding, what did we do on the wedding day?) Then he continue with my husband, he asked the same questions referring about my personal information, wedding date, how many times did he go to my country to visit?, my ex husband?s name, kids names) The IO separated us, he asked my husband questions first, when approximately 20 minutes goes by he came for me, took me back in the office and asked me some questions, they were the same ones that they had asked my husband, so they were verifying if the answers where same. Finally he gave us a paper saying we came to the interview appointment and that everything went fine, I nailed it, wasn?t to worry. When one half and hour pass my case status said: Case was completed and will be reviewed by an officer. So we have to wait for the response of their decision by mail.

A little of stress is over for me know.

Mycase status was changed today to: Case Aproved. Thank God part of this long process is over at least for two years approximately.

I just got my interview letter, wasn't expecting it, I was expecting it to be in another 5 months. Both sites are not updated. Just a question, my interview is 1 year and 2 days after my pd, my medical was included. I read that now the medical is up to 2 years if it was sent before November 2018. Mine was sent a week after the doctor signed the examination. Do I need to make another medical exam?

The medical is valid for two years if you submitted it with your AOS petition no later than 60 days after the civil surgeon signed it as complete. To be clear. If the date on your medical is 11-01-17, and USCIS received it by 01-01-2018, then it's good for 2 years.

my pd was 12/04/17 and my interview was the 12/06



I went last thursday, I saw many people going with their lawyers. I went by myself. Channel 12 (optimum)was on. I waited like an hour and 15 minutes, because the lawyers and people earlier than me were being called first. I was studying for my lecture exam, One thing I notice was that many couples were being separate. Idk if that's the standard now. Anyways I get called, my time to shine. What do I do, I start to get nervous and think about star trek lol
The officer I guess understood that I had a lot of stress, many exams that week (Didn't get much sleep). He asked for the original documents that I sent, birth certificate, etc. So I couldn't find one of them, i was freaking out (but I finally found it). So we start to talk about the marriage, what do I do I messed the day by one day. I hope that doesn't go against me. So I got the letter case must be reviewed. He asked If I had any questions I say no, I thought I did good, but now Im stressed, I should have ask for a feedback. The officer was friendly.
