  • Documents to bring to interview

    Hi there,
My interview is tomorrow and the letter asks me to bring "supporting evidence of your relationship". I have already provided these documents when I sent out the application. Do I need to make copies of all these documents again?
They also ask for "original and copy of each supporting document that you submitted with your application". I have all the originals with me and will bring the with me. Do I really need to provide copies as well (even though I have already providing them).
    Thanks!

The copies are in case the IO wants/needs to keep anything and you do not want to be stuck not having it. So like marriage certificate, orginial photos, etc...

To anyone reading this - USCIS, the NBC and Field Offices are notorious for losing entire files or evidence submitted with the AOS filing. So yes, even though you already submitted some evidence, do yourself a favor and leave nothing to chance. Tedious? Yes, for sure. But how important is this to you? Why would anyone leave anything to chance?

Focus on showing evidence of bona fide marriage since the time you met. Evidence of bona fide marriage does not mean that you should only show evidence since the date of your marriage. If you got married and filed right away, you definitely want to show that you did not meet on Monday, got married on Tuesday and filed on Wednesday.

        All the best,

        USCFFS
