Hi Guys, I sent in my application over 2 weeks ago and last week, I got an RFE as follows "The joint sponsor must submit a complete federal income tax returns submitted to the IRS for the most recent tax year". I looked through the document filed and realised that this was sent to them already. I sent a tax returns for 2017 for my sponsor. I called and the rep asked me to send again. What do you think is wrong here guys?

Originally posted by tamarack View PostAgreed! In cases like this, I suggest you think of two aspects: a) the USCIS sometimes loses documents. If they aren't in the file any longer, the officer will send an RFE for them. So don't double-guess... b) Some part may be missing. Always, always go back to the "instructions" document that goes with the document you're concerned with. (In this case, the I-864 Instructions.) Read the whole relevant passage, and scan the entire document, because a relevant bit may have escaped your notice.
