Hi everyone, I have received the interview appointment letter scheduled for October. I feel uncertain about what they want in some items to bring with me : (1) A completed medical examination (Form I-693) and vaccination supplement in a sealed envelope (unless already submitted).( 2.) A completed Affidavit(s) of Support (Form I-864) with all required evidence.... for each of your sponsors( unless already submitted). I submitted both during the filing stage. What am I supposed to do? Do they want me to bring both again to the interview?? Thank you for your kind advice.

well first off you should submit your timeline so that we know on what basis you are adjusting your status and can provide you with accurate information. see...? Hadn't I told you that your interview was in the process of being scheduled? I remember your case showed signs of a glitch, etc. By the way, please add your timeline to your signature. Go to Settings (on the right), then look to your left and click on signature, and add your signature there. You get 500 characters total. Just look at mine and follow that.

You mailed your package 12-01-17. USCIS uses the received date that you see on the egov.uscis.gov site as the time stamp for your I-693. Bottom line is that your medical will not expire before 12-01-17. They have it. However, if you do have a copy, just bring that. USCIS has lost files before, so you want to bring a clone of everything you submitted -if you can-, just to be safe.

Because you sent your I-864 in 12-2017, you will need to bring your sponsor's most recent tax return. I would bring IRS transcripts. You can get them online on the IRS website. They will be mailed to you. You may or may not need to include W2s and 1099s. Just read the directions of the I-864. I would bring an updated I-864 since you will have to add the most recent tax year and you will have updated proof of current income, such as paystubs, letter from employer.

When you go to that thread that krypton9591 directed you to, work your way from #1 down. The table of Contents put together by Emerald 2020 is your best guide. Even if you do not have the same type of evidence, use its structure as a guide. She has 3 main sections. It's very well organized. Remember that it's very important to list your evidence using full sentences. For each piece of evidence, you want to include a brief explanation, in a sentence or two, that tells USCIS what each piece of evidence is proof of. It's important to stress the longevity of your relationship. So always state "since MM/DD/YY".

I would start by creating a relationship timeline of key events and then build your evidence around those events. Use the receipt + image of method of payment + text messages + Photo method.

Hi everyone, I received this message this evening that "we cancelled your interview for I -485 and mailed you a cancellation notice. We will notify you by mail if the appointment is rescheduled, a decision is made,or if we need something from you. If you do not receive your notice by Oct ,19, please make an e -request to get a copy of the notice. "Please does anyone understand what this is all about? Is there anyone with similar experience? And where does it leave our application for Aos marriage? I must thank USCFFS, Vekram and Krypton for your last laudable advices to my last questions. It was very helpful and highly appreciated. Please I need some opinions . Thank you so much.

It may have nothing to do with your interview. Please take a moment to list your timeline on your signature. It's hard to keep track of everyone without that. It makes it difficult to give you meaningful advice. If you live in an area that experienced severe weather recently, that could be a reason to cancel your interview. Maybe they're understaffed. Maybe your ISO had an emergency and will be gone for 3 weeks. It's impossible to guess.

This is what the DHS website displays about my cancellation:

Interview Cancelled
On August 09, 2018, we cancelled the interview scheduled for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number . We will notify you by mail if the appointment is rescheduled, a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

That's all it says. I know this happened because we moved back to Minnesota. However, we never got an interview notice and definitely not a cancellation. Your situation seems different. They have cancelled interviews frequently this year.

You could make an infopass appointment and ask what to expect next.

Just looked at your previous posts and saw that your field office is Norfolk, VA. It makes sense that they had to cancel appointments. I wanted to say that your first human instinct is to think - gosh, it must be something about my case. They thought there is a red flag. ICE will be at my door and that's why they cancelled it.
Don't think any of that. It is probably weather related.

Just looked at your field office's infopass page and there are a megabigizillion appointments between October 2nd and 4th. So hopefully you see this message soon and take one of those slots. They always become available right at midnight.

I would use the extra time you're getting -due to this cancellation, to prepare really well and nail that interview with an industrial grade nail gun. Know what I mean?

Remember, focus on the longevity of your relationship. Evidence of bona fide marriage starts from the date you two met. Go all out, and secure an approval on the spot.

This usually cancels any interview you had scheduled before that (if you're moving to a new jurisdiction).
