Did they tell you you got an rfe though? She told me I would be getting the rfe letter in 5-7 days. We just have 87 days, from the interview, to respond and I don't want to miss the deadline. I know I have a while for that, but better safe than sorry.

It's time to contact your Senator. Obviously, at this point, if this is a marriage based petition, you are now eligible for the 10 year green card.

So you're saying they are telling you that your background check is still running? 2.5 years? Something else is up. Did they separate you at the interview? I would file a freedom of information act request and see what's up?

Well I guess that is their excuse, probably my case is some drawer or on some pile with other pending cases.
We were separated, because my husband is Cuban, and the process is little bit different then with US citizen. But interview went excellent, officer congratulate us and said after interview that I should get green card in mail soon...
You think that Freedom of information act can help to expedite process?

Oh... I think I see what may be going on. It sounds like you married your spouse after he adjusted status through the Cuban adjustment act? That would explain the interview. Wanna share more about what happened? You can private message me. I do not mean to put you on the spot.

I applied in October 2015 and we were scheduled for interview in 4 months after filling. Like I said we were separated, officer asked me around 50-60 questions and then he invited my husband into office and asked him maybe 20 questions, answers were matching. Since then I am renewing my EAD every year, two lawyers told me that I can?t do anything but to wait 🤔
