Hi all,
Im seeking help from ppl knowledgeable about ac21. Just last week, i used to work for a reputed staffing company on a client project, however my client has terminated my contract. My company has also chosen to end my employemnt with them thus my green card process is jeopardized.
My AOS appointment is in Newark, NJ on October 13th, and I am looking for a new employer and hoping to go through the i485-j through them and take this to my AOS interview
a. My understanding is since my 485 is in pending for more than 180 days ans i140 approved, i can use the ac21 portability. Will it be a problem if I cannot show any paystubs from my new employer to AOS officer since i am still looking for new job offer.
b. Granted I do get a job offer, when should I take the 485j form? Can i take this with me to interview? Or do I have to mail to Uscis? Im concerned if this may delay the intervire and adjudication process?
c. Does USCIS scrutinize the new employer just as it does during I140? Any pointers to avoid pitfalls while looking for new employers?
Thanks
P.S.
