  • Change of address after interview was scheduled

    Hello everyone,

We recently moved from Omaha, NE to Minneapolis, MN and we've received our interview notice on Sept 12. We owned a house back in Omaha and the move to MN is just temporary. I've been reading the forum for a while and knowing that Minneapolis field office is a pretty slow office. I would not want any delay on the case because we have been waiting for over 200 days (PD 02/22/18), married to USC.

My concern is whether should we still attend the Omaha interview and report change of address at the interview?

    Thank you,

    Thank you,
User SandiumH just had a similar situation but the other way around. They had moved from Minneapolis, MN to Tampa, FL when the interview notice was sent to Minneapolis, MN. They flew to Minneapolis, MN and at the end of the interview, the Immigration Services Officer updated the address. There were no issues. They weren't accused of misrepresentation or anything like that.
Your move is temporary. I would just go to the interview in Omaha, NE. Even if you stay in Minneapolis, MN for a year, that could still be considered a temporary move. There are people who commute from Minneapolis, MN to Omaha, NE for work. So it's not unheard of.

I would focus on getting approved on the spot. You might find this thread useful. All the advice you need is there. https://www.immihelp.com/forum/showt...155#post581155
