  • No updates since biometrics walk-in. Anyone experienced this?

    Hello,

My wife and I have filed for AOS (I-485, I-130, I-765, I-131) for my wife back in early August of 2018 (Priority Date: 8/6/18). Since then, we've received our text/email NOA's of receipt of the applicantions and NOA for biometrics appointment for 9/7/18 and completed a biometrics walk-in on 8/29/18.

We've been checking for status update on both https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do and https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ and we still have not seen the "Fingerprint review was completed" update. I've noticed on the timelines that other members post that "Fingerprint review was completed" update typically is posted within couple of days after the original appointment date and we are worried if something may have been misplaced in the process and our case is in some type of limbo.

I wanted to know if there was anyone who experienced something similar where the "Fingerprint review was completed" update did not show up even after a week or longer and what steps they took to make sure the case was progressing in a timely manner.

Any advice or insight would be much appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

In my case it has been over 60 days since biometric and status on my.uscis.gov still states ?Fingerprint review was completed" whereas on the egov website doesn?t even show that.

I made this posting couple of months back which has the detail of my situation which still remains the same.

It took USICS 5 months to update my case; others, 2 months. Everyone?s case is DIFFERENT. Please be patient and focus on loving your family and friends.

You're not alone. My I-130 is approved since Aug still said "Case was received" no update. As of my I-485 pd Aug 8, bio walk-in Aug 21 and the next day they sent RFIE it was updated on egov/case status but not on myaccount. So I'll guess it depends on who's working on the case. For me not get anxious i just told myself 10-15years ago they did not have case status or whatever to check updates you just had to wait til you get something so that's what I do now 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 lol.

This is true. I filed for AOS in 97. It was all paper back then. You even had to go to the "INS" building to get the forms. The internet wasn't a thing, yet.

What, they have an update that notifies you when your fingerprint review is completed? Lol, mine was stuck on "fingerprint fee received" for 6 months. You're gonna be waiting a long time and don't get your hopes up that USCIS will be on the ball with every single notification for your case. They probably won't, so just forget about it until you receive an official request (either an RFIE or your interview notice).

Thanks everyone for all the replies.

I guess every case will end up being handled differently and some will get the update and some won't. We will try not to worry too much over it and just be patient.

                      NBC mail

I just saw that i have a mail coming from NBC. I was wondering when your interview is scheduled where the notice comes from. Is it from your local field office or the cwnter services? They received my RFIE on Sept 12, the mail says Fri Sept 14. I'm at work so I'm just thinking what it might be.😎😎😎

My biometrics was done in June and I still have not gotten a "fingerprint review was completed" updated, but based on other responses in this thread, I shouldn't be worried too much? Wondering if I can still call a level 2 to ask about this?

I know how you?re feeling regarding crooked lawyer. I filed AOD for my parents, Who are here in the United States on tourist visa, and my lawyer did not attached a birth certificate that proves that I am related to my parents. I paid a ridiculous amount of money for his service and feel completely ripped off. We filed on August 15 and got our biometrics done and received RFIE. I was shocked and pissed off! Still I?m...The NBC received the RFIE And updated status on 9/19/18. Hopefully all is good and we will get our EAD soon. Good luck to you my friend!!
