PD: 09/04/18
Filing from Los Angeles
Interview Date: 06/07/18
I just had my interview today and i got approved on the spot. I followed the Table of Contents provided on the forum section. It worked wonders!!! (THANK YOU!!!). The officer was happy about how organized my file is and just browsed thru it real quick and thanked me for making his job easy. He just went over the form to verify all the information is correct. Just asked for our timeline, which she manually wrote down on a paper he had with him during the interview. Asked me maybe 3-5 questions max .Took my husbands and my drivers license, my passport. Told me he will make copies, wait outside as he will bring it out. After 5 minutes he came out with our DL and passport with an approval letter.
I filed in 09/04/18 as well, my interview was ALSO in LA on 06/07/19!
Got approved on the spot as well, super nice interviewer and everyone there was very friendly!
I also followed the Table of Contents but my interviewer actually didn't even take a look. Also only asked us 3 questions other than the yes/no questions in the back of the documents! He just told me to pick out 4 photos I liked as extra evidence and said that we had already submitted more than enough evidence initially while filing to prove our marriage as bonafide.
Super grateful and excited for my card to come in the mail!
Absolutely! The officer was a young lady (35ish year-old), she was just fine, nice "enough", we made a couple of jokes, but that's about it. Nothing great or horrible to say about her. My wife liked her more than me, I was just probably "pissed" that we were not approved on the spot haha
P.S. I got the notices this morning of I-485 and I-130 in the mailbox. Approved 6/6, so she really approved us that night. Still no card.

I have heard that in Newark they are a little strict, that is why i asked you . They approved you the same day though and that is great . I have also heard that the card comes after about 10 days to 2 weeks most .
Thank you very much again for the response and the informations you provided to me; they are very helpful. Wish you the best !

Congrats to everyone getting approved! We have our interview on Monday the 17th in Long island , NY office at 9;30 AM!! Any advice? Reading through all this we will make a binder with table of contents. It says on the letter to bring "All documentation establishing your eligibility for Lawful Perm Resident status". What is that? I feel that we sent in so much stuff with the original paperwork, what else could they want? And we also heard it could take up to 120 days to get green card!! So nervous!!!

My guess is that you should bring all the originals that you used plus any new documents that you have (newer lease, mortgage, tax, passport, etc.)
Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
Day 1 - Package received at the lockbox
Day 999 - Card delivered to me - Aug 2021

I agree with what has been said. Assuming you're the beneficiary and you're applying through your USC spouse, then your marriage certificate is the document that makes you eligible to be a Lawful Perm Resident. Bring an original with you, my officer took it, double checked it against the one submitted originally, and she gave it back to us. Also, your spouse's birth certificate and passport confirm that he/she is a USC, and so you "qualify".
Anything else is "supporting" the authenticity of such marriage.
Bring with you the original of everything you submitted originally, plus anything updated (ex. mortgage/lease statement from that time vs. one from these days, your spouse's official record of change address where it shows he/she is leaving at the same address, etc.)
Good luck ... and don't be nervous, as long as the marriage is real there is no reason to be If they need additional docs, they'll just ask, no worries.
