Thank you so much I'm probably going to add I-131 and I-765 into my package this time.
In general, do I need to submit any additional documents/ proofs for I-131 and/or I-765? Or just the 2 forms will work?
    Thank you

      Thank you
There are some checklists around here that are very detailed and helpful. I-131 and I-765 need additional documents as well. I don?t remember on the top of my head right now but you need to include passport copies, marriage certificate if you changed your name, etc.

The only difference is at the bottom of each page of my form, it says 06/26/17 N while the one on USCIS website it's 12/13/17. Does it mean anything?
My husband's I 130 was also rejected because it has to come with a valid I 485.
        Nana.p,

yes, that date at the bottom is the edition date. As you could probably notice, the form you sent in has the same expiration date as the form on the website. But the current form has a later edition date. They change all the time. Just in case, I would sign up for Forms Updates. https://www.uscis.gov/forms-updates That way if there are any edition changes before you resend everything, then you would know right away.

Look at this as an opportunity to front-load your evidence of bona fide marriage. People who send all their evidence with their AOS filing, tend to have short and sweet interviews.

This thread has helped many organize their evidence for their initial AOS filing and for the interview. https://www.immihelp.com/forum/showt...794#post583794

I read that I cannot expedite my EAD/AP until the biometrics are done. Is that right?

Yes you would need the biometrics done before the 765 can be approved (at least for all the usual family-based green cards). However, would asking to expedite could help the IO realize you need your fingerprint asap, then I dont know.

Thank you so much, this is very helpful, I'll probably be able to add more evidence to the package It's just hard to understand why the supposedly updated I-485 is identical to the outdated one I turned in

You know, like a wise Biochemistry Professor always said "Don't fight it. It's easier if you do not fight it" LOL, you could spend time trying to figure out how the two forms are different, but I would not misuse time that way. Just download the new form, fill it out using the other one as a reference. Don't just transcribe everything. Maybe one of the yes or no questions was switched around and now it's broken down into two steps. As tedious as it is, do it when you can focus on the task and not be interrupted.

                All the best,

My package was sent back due to an outdated I 485. Should I reprint and make new copies of all the documents or do I just need a new I 485?

I would triple check everything. Make sure that all edition dates are current. I would also front-load all your evidence of bona fide marriage. Many have found the resources on this thread very useful in staging their evidence of bona fide marriage for their initial AOS filing and for the interview.

                        • I called USCIS and the rep told me that they haven't even issued the bio letter yet. So it won't come in the mail for the next 7 days, at least. I placed a request to expedite my EAD, so hopefully that will get the letter moving.

                          • Hey everyone, new to the forum, although I've been reading experiences for months

                            Here my experience so far:

Italian Citizen, in NJ since 2010, 2011-2013 F1 (plus CPT and OPT), 2014-today H1B (with 1 transfer and 1 extension completed in June)

                            BIO review completed 10/15

Got a text last night saying that "We are ready to schedule an interview for your I485" ... wow! We'll see how long it takes!

P.S. I'm working on a new job opportunity, so I might end up "expediting" the EAD if I don't get it before the end of November (just would like to start the new job on 1/1/19).

                              Hi Seattle,

I have not received a bio letter. Still waiting for something to happen.

My MSC for my I485 finally worked. Strangely says the fee was accepted OCT 10 although my NOA was Sept 21.

                              Just trying to remain patient.

I requested the EAD to be expedited yesterday. Today I received an email from USCIS asking for the job offer to be faxed. I faxed it and also included a fax sheet where I wrote the ATTN part so that the fax makes its way to the appropriate division immediately. We?ll see how it goes.

Does anyone know if there's a way to find out if USCIS received it? My online status is unchanged since the PD. The fax machine printed a confirmation that all pages have been sent.
