  • Reason's for Travel

I'm completing my application for advance parole and they want to know the reason for travel. In a nutshell, it is so my husband can see his children that he hasn't seen in 2 years. Will that be enough to gain advance parole or is there a more technical reason that i should put down?

    4/2/18 - Received 3 receipts for 3 cases
    4/2/18 - Received biometrics appointment
    4/27/18 - biometrics complete
7/6/18 - I-485 Ready to be scheduled for interview
    8/10/18 - EAD in Production
    8/13/18 - "We approved your case" I765

    on my form i did:
part 3 - empty, except for question 5
    part 4 - empty
    part 5 - empty
    part 6 - empty
    part 7 - empty
    part 8 - signed

that gave me the blanket AP, if you fill in specific reasons its usually for a one time, urgency travel request.
This is my opinion, not legal advice!

The form does not ask you for a reason, if you are applying for Advance Parole based on AOS.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

You should not get to Part 4. The form says for non-DACA Advance Parole applicants to skip from the middle of Part 3 to Part 7.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

              Part 7 says:

On a separate sheet of paper, explain how you qualify for advance parole document , and what circumstances warrant issuance of advance parole

It then says "(See instructions.)", and in the instructions (page 9), it says to attach an explanation "or" if you are doing Adjustment of Status, a copy of the receipt of the AOS application. So if you are an AOS applicant, you do not need to attach any explanation. You just need to attach your I-485 receipt, if you are filing after you filed I-485, or, if you are filing concurrently with I-485, you don't need to attach anything at all (they will put the receipt in for you internally).

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

i filled my AP under one time trip and still got the no restriction multiple trip AP. i think there're no restrictions on this.
