  • Fingerprint review was complete

My spouse and I went to biometric appointment at the same time. Today, his case got updated to "Fingerprint review was complete" but I still don't have any updates. Is this normal?

Also, how long it usually takes to get interview schedule notice after finger review complete?

    Thank you!

It varies. In my case, 8 months. Had my biometrics and "Fingerprint" status in Dec 2017; my interview notice came August 2018.

This is exactly the same situation as mine. I had posted about it here and the situation is exactly the same.

By next week it?s going to be 90 days since my biometric review complete message and my wife?s is still stuck at fingerprint fee received. The only thing i can do right now is check for status every morning and come here and see what others are experiencing.

One good thing I have noticed recently via case tracker app is there is lot of movement in 500 case numbers before me and 500 numbers after me in terms of interviews scheduled/cards delivered etc. In fact the serial number exactly after me got their interview scheduled 5 days ago. So I am praying and hoping our turn will come soon.

It is kind of random but I see it on your signature panel all the time, why did you wait almost 2 months to answer the RFE if you don?t mind sharing?

          Hi!

It took a while because my joint sponsor was away on vacation abroad when the RFE came. While waiting for my joint sponsor to come back, I requested for the IRS transcript to be mailed to their house. I then asked my joint sponsor to cut her vacation short to send me the transcript, reminding her daily of the RFE deadline. She didn't mind me badgering her 'coz I'm her sister lol!

After she came back and mailed the transcript, I hesitated submitting to USCIS because there's something in the I-864 instructions (see screenshot) that's so confusing, I felt the IRS transcript wasn't enough. I googled, and in the end, asked my sister to send me her W2s and recent pay stubs. (My sister annually files as 'Married Filing Jointly', but I wasn't including my bro-in-law's income in the I-864, just my sister's. Since the IRS transcript only shows combined income, the W2 and pay stubs were needed to show my sister's income.) While waiting for my sister's W2 and payslips, my hubby and I prepared additional I-130 evidences of bona fide marriage for inclusion in the RFE packet.

That's why it took almost 2 months lol!

That paragraph hurts my brain! I ended up sending W2s, 1099s along with the transcripts JUST to be sure.
