Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview BEFORE EAD ?

Hi every one.. I'm a Queens- New York filer same sex marriage under category C09

ready to be scheduled for an Interview: 09/24/2018.

The question is: how is that possible I don't even have the EAD yet, and I don't have a social security number, so if the interview comes before I must get the EAD after that? or what should I do?

For us, the interview was "Ready To Be Scheduled" since April, although the EAD did not come until May. In the end, our interview was not scheduled until August, with an interview date in Oct. I think it's common. If you look around the forum, it seems that some people are even getting their interviews and GCs before they get their EADs.

If that happens, you only get the green card, no EAD necessary. No worries.

Just to clarify - Ready to be scheduled for an interview - means that your case is not missing any initial required evidence. It does not meant they're going to schedule your interview tomorrow. You could wait days, weeks, months or up to 2 years in some cases.

It's pretty common. I'm going to my interview next week, and I have not received EAD either.

Same situation here. i had the interview few days ago, 09/25, a new cars is being prooduced 09/27.
I have no EAD, no SSN.I was stressed for weeks before the interview, I was afraid we did not have enough proof, but in the end everything turned out ok.Be confident and you will succeed! EGood luck!

? Case is ready to be scheduled ? means you might wait up to 12 months, EAD might come at the end of October

I haven?t received EAD card yet. I?m so confused because my case is running super fast and I don?t have a lot of proofs bc I don?t have ssn yet. I asked some people about my call-in letter and they said mine look different. I don?t know if my case is normal. Does anyone have any idea about that?

Focus on showcasing the longevity of your relationship. There are plenty of ways to show evidence of bona fide marriage without a SSN or EAD. You just have to get creative. You do not want USCIS to think that you met on Monday, got married on Tuesday and filed for AOS on Wednesday.
