I-485 Interview scheduled for October but no notice about I-140

Hi All,

I received notice from USCIS for Interview Date in October (Status: Interview was Scheduled). However, I have not received the notice that my I-140 (EB1 Outstanding Researcher, Employment based) was approved.
Does USCIS schedule Interviews for AOS if underlying I-140 petition was not approved?

Also, what are typical questions to expect during the interview?

That sounds strange, typically you first get the I-140. Then apply for adjustment of status when the interview etc is scheduled/done.
