You should call USCIS to confirm if your background check is cleared.

Thank you for the response! I tried to call them today and when i entered my case number they said they can?t give me the update as of the moment. The tier 1 only gave me the processing times and i asked to talk to a tier 2 and i?m waiting for the call back today. It seems that they?re on the process of doing the background check. The last update i received was Sept 26.

I know that's what it says but San Jose has been consistently faster than that. Start preparing your evidence for the interview. Do not wait until the last minute. Many have found this thread very useful in preparing their evidence of bona fide marriage for the interview. https://www.immihelp.com/forum/showt...794#post583794

Called them tuesday talked to a tier 1 and asked for supervisor. She routed me and i end up in a prompt saying they would be calling me back cause waiting times around 168 minutes...BUT they never called back. Might be calling tomorrow to check.

Also, my I765 application is turning 200days of waiting tomorrow. Ugh

I made the mistake of asking for a supervisor once and learned that person is not a level 2. Supervisors maintain order and oversee level 1 reps. He could only see what I could see. I asked him probing questions about background checks and he did not have access to that. He just kept repeating "I am giving you the case status. You asked for case status. The case status is Case is Ready to be scheduled for an interview"

You have to ask for level 2. They always call back. If you want to speak to an actual immigration officer, your best bet is Infopass. Reps at the call center are NOT immigration officers.

just got off of the phone talking to a tier 1 after waiting for a good 30 mins ending it with her having a technical issue so she can't transfer me to a level 2

is it fine to call them and immediately ask for a level 2 to ask about the background check?
also everytime i enter my case number on the prompt it respond that the status of the case cannot be found.

Called them today. They said there?s nothing in there about background checks and that it?s still processing. 22 days after the notice that it?s ready for interview. Also tried to ask for an update for my I-765 which is pending for 205 days, and again, they?re still processing it. 🤷🏻*♀️

Also the level 1 officer i talked to said that background checks are completed after the interview to make sure that the marriage is not a fraud. 🤷🏻*♀️🤷🏻*♀️

                          Wait then.....⏳
