Hello,
I had my AOS interview on the 30th of August in Newark NJ.
I had my lawyer with me and it goes as follows:
We go in, and the officer took my fingerprint, then we follow to another office,
we were sworn under oath, the interview started together with a couple of basic questions on how we met,
everything seemed fine and the officer seemed nice, asked about how we met and why we got married early (I'm 23 and my spouse is 20)
My spouse still hasn't finished her community college in Boston so she goes and comes to my house each week until she graduates,
we let the officer know about this and he said sure it's fine.
Officer then said: "I won't make this hard for you, I will ask your wife a couple of questions for only 10 min and I will ask you the same questions."
He spends 15 minutes then I come in asks me 8-9 questions, we basically answer 7 right like details about the bedroom and what we did last night.
One question was who did you see last night and I said I saw my friend that used to live with me but my spouse said she didn't( She either got confused or forgot)
and the second question we got wrong was confusing because he phrased it differently or both, asked my spouse where is the mirror, and asked me how many mirrors are there,
she said where the big mirror is but forgot the other small one.
He flips through the pictures fast after I offer and takes the bonfide proofs, Joint tax returns, utility bill, joint bank statement (which he stressed on because basically, I was the only one using that account)
Officer seemed to stress on the friend I saw last night at the house and how we got that answer wrong and said he's gonna put the case for review. Lawyer talks to officer after we go out and he says that he liked us but the 2 questions got him confused or else he was ready to give me the approval.
It's been 5 weeks since the interview and nothing yet.
Thoughts? And anyone with a similar case? or the same office?
