  • About to submit I-485 and I-130 but I-693 has a different address since we moved?

    Hi guys

We hope you can help us.
My I-693 has our old address. I had it done not more than a month ago.
My husband and I are worried that this may affect the process.
Do I need to retake the medical?
Do we have the option to include an explanation of the different addresses? And how can it be done?
Do we need to submit an update of a change an address already?

    Thank you so much

The right way is to submit a change of address.

I don't think the difference of addresses would be the problem if you move with in a city.
We leave in one place but our DL and TAX Address is different, we submitted different documents with different addresses, we had an explanation, but IO never asked.
As long as you can receive all correspondence from USCIS and can explain situation you are fine.

Do we already file a change of address even if this is the first time we'll be sending the package I-130 and I-485?
The I-693 has our old address.
We've moved into a different community but still the same city.

Sorry didn't understand you from you first post.
You had a medical exam and then you moved and filed or in process of sending you file, gotcha

No worry, in some of the form you have to list all your previous addresses for last 5 years, they will see, that you just moved, no problem. Maximum they might asked you about during interview.
