Thank you for updating. I see a lot of people getting the courtesy letter within 2 months of filling and I was getting worried after 3 months without it. Now I can relax knowing that maybe I will not get any update until April or the end of March.

Hi! Yes you?re supposed to get a courtesy letter too! There?s no way they?re gonna hold it because of that cause I didn?t pass ny 693 too.

Mine really came out of the blue and I?m sure yours will come the same way. Odds are that at this point, you would have gotten an RFE already if something was missing. Not including i-693 is not a problem - the letter just tells you to bring it at the interview.

Five months passed and no updates. Still shows Case Received on I-485, Fee Received on I-765 and I-131.

I feel for you mate. My wife and I moved recently to take care of her elderly father who is suffering from Parkinsons. I was hoping I would be the one who could go out and work whilst she stayed home to care for him and be there in his last years but no sight of my EAD and now I have tons of credit card debt and having to sit by and watch my wife go out to work each day instead of being with her father.
Asked two times now over 60 days for expedite of my EAD but they just dont reply. Now just hoping March is the month but it definitely sucks just waiting.

Contact your local congressman!! I had success when I needed my EAD expedited. It won?t hurt!

I looked into my local congressman and hes a hard line anti immigrant type. I overstayed my visa before being married so I dont feel it would be worth my while.

I haven't got anything in the mail sadly Makes me feel like they haven't even started working on my case after getting my fingerprints. Kinda freaked out here haha

11/13 Biometric appointment
02/18 I-693 curtesy letter received
02/19 Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview

No news about I-131 and I-765

I have a question to who received curtesy letter or haven't done medical exam yet.
USCIS updated their policy on November 1st.
"The updated policy, which goes into effect on Nov. 1, 2018, will require applicants to submit a Form I-693 that is signed by a civil surgeon no more than 60 days before filing the underlying application for an immigration benefit."

I don't know if my understanding is correct.
I was going to medical exam sooner and just wait for the interview. But, because I don't know when I will get scheduled for an interview, probably I shouldn't get medical exam right now because it will expire within 60 days?

If I wait to go to see a doctor until I received an interview notice, I am really scared if there will be enough time to get it done. ( such as getting an appointment or if there is any missing vaccination or document)
I do believe I have all the vaccination. But is this the only option? Do you think I will have enough time?

I have been an observer on this website since I started working on my K-1 visa, but I'd like to share my timeline since I just got an approval notice for my GC.

PD - 10/02/2017
10/15/2018 - Applications received by USCIS (I-130, I-765, and I-485, c(9))
10/22/2018 - Fingerprint Fee accepted
10/23/2018 - Receipts Received
10/26/2018 - Biometrics Appointment Notice received
11/08/2018 - Request For Initial Evidence was mailed
11/16/2018 - Biometrics
11/22/2018 - RFE sent to NBC
12/19/2018 - Interview ready to be scheduled
01/11/2019 - Interview was scheduled
02/25/2019 - Interview for GC (IO recommended approval)
02/25/2019 - New Card is being produced (later on the same day as the interview)
02/28/2019 - New Card was mailed
03/01/2019 - Approval Notice for I-485 received

My field office is San Diego, CA. Although I have applied for EAD and AP, the status for both is still stuck on Case was Received and I got my GC approved first.
The interview took 45 minutes and the IO said she would give recommendation for my approval. I am currently waiting to receive the actual GC in hand.

I understand how frustrating the wait is and hope that your day of approval will come soon!
