October 2018 Filers

If that's what they want, it's very random then, because I got "Ready to be scheduled for an interview" last week and I applied just a few days before you = they didn't ask for my husband's 2018 transcript. However we put the last 3 years, just because I feel like it's better to load up with evidence, even though it is not mandatory.

We submitted the last 3 years also, but it?s a new year and 2018 transcripts are available so that?s the only think I can think of them asking for form I-485. Who knows what?s up lol

I got the same thing on March 5th, waiting on the letter now. I did submit an expedite request and a few minutes after I received the email for RFIE for I-485. I?m guessing they want my husband?s most recent tax transcript which we just filed.

We also got a RFIE on Feb. 15 after applying for an expedite on the EAD. They were asking for the marriage certificate. It was mailed with the original package, but I guess it got lost. Anyway, they denied the expedite request. Hoping we will hear some news soon. It's starting to really become a financial nightmare at our house!

I've seen RFEs like "we need your birth certificate" when people submitted it already...so that could be anything indeed. Keep us posted, I'm sure it will be easy and quick!

Dates ???!!!

Hello Everyone,

I just have a question:

Is the expedite request for EAD the same thing as a request for a outside normal processing time?!

I just put in for an expedite request yesterday and my case is outside normal processing time so I don?t wanna end up with 2 requests and confuse immigration more than they already are.

(By the way my Original PD date is 09/17 but for whatever reason uscis has a date of 10/09)

Wow that is fast i got my ready to be schedule notice feb 11 and never heard of them since same with the EAD. I dont know about the SSN tho. I already have mine from J1 visa but I?m not sure if it?s lifetime

If you requested SSN in your I-765 form you should get it in the combo card. Otherwise you have to make an appointment at your nearest Social Security Office.

I just received the EAD card in the mail!!
Note: make sure don?t throw away the paper that it comes attached to....it can be used to expedite the renewal process....in case the adjustment process takes longer then a year. I have read that it is automatecally extended 180 after it expires but others have had a long period of time waiting for it to be renewed. Just FYI.

Received my RFIE on Saturday. It was indeed for my husband?s recent tax transcript which would be 2018. I did send in 2015,2016 and 2017 but I?m guessing it?s a new year and all so they wanted the most recent. I also expedited my EAD and faxed my proof yesterday and also mailed the response to the RFIE. Praying I get some answers soon.

Update

I received an update to my i485 case - last Feb 26, 2019 - case has been updated to: Case Ready to be scheduled for an Interview. I hope to received something in the mail soon. This is stressful.

Follow up

Typically, if you receive this update, about how long does it take to be scheduled? Or is this indicative that the case can still possible be delayed? I have read on here that others have had the same update, and have not heard of any news since.
