        • hello guys, please I have an issue, when I filed for my marriage based adjustment of status on Oct 25th 2018, we included our most recent taxes from 2017,2016 and 2015. My interview has been scheduled for April 2019 and Im wondering if we will be asked for our 2018 taxes? Im nervous because my husband and I don't have them ready yet and probably not by the interview date. What do you guys think? can we just explain to the interviewer that our 2018 taxes are not ready yet, our will my card be denied?

I don't think this is something to be worry about. If you don't have your taxes ready just explain why and bring anything else that you think it is needed.

Last day to file taxes is Monday the 15th of April. If you won't be able to file taxes, you may file an extension. Just go with the letter and everything should be good.

What is outrageous is that I keep checking the cases around me through the app, and it's barely moving. It's unbelievable given how much money we pay.

Totally... It's going at a slower and slower rate for the older filers. It's ridiculous because I have seen January filers getting approvals.
I'm happy for those people, but I don't think is fair that by random chance you either wait 4 months or 7...

I agree. Are you adjusting from a work visa? I am, so I wonder if we have less of a priority since we are not as much in the need to find a job than others?

I have never thought of that one! Many wild theories theories crossed my mind in the last 173 days. I think it would be fun to share a few:

                      - FO took a bunch of PTO and now is way behind with his cases assigned. Which includes mine... at the very end.
                      - Bunch of FOs are now working at the border with Mexico working on the massive deportations. Among them, the FO assigned to my case is there and can't work on my case
                      - The FO assigned to my case is secretly in this forum, hates me, and identified my case and purposely put it last on his todo list.
                      - FO is an senior officer who is tired of reviewing applications and is trying to get fired by not working on applications.
                      - Because NBC is doing second reviews on I-765 cases, my case was stored in cabinet that is forever lost/forgotten in the depths of Missouri

lol. Crazy how your brain spins in this wait...
