I feel like there?s a link between courtesy letter and RFE. TBD. I?m going to my bio appointment tomorrow.

10/17 Bio Fees accepted (notice from the App) checks were cashed too.
10/22 received notices in the mail.
11/01 Bio appt schedule notice received in the mail. Scheduled for 11/14
11/9 I-693 Courtesy Letter received
11/14 Bio Appt completed at the La Brea Los Angeles Office

I mean that I feel like you don't get the letter until you're cleared for RFE + biometrics. It's just me supposing - I'd be happy to hear other people's experience!

I don't know about the courtesy I-693 letter, But what I can tell you is thatIi am using a lawyer, and the lawyer suggested that I get my medical examinations (I-693) done before sending the package to USCIS so they can be sent together to sped up the process by a lil bit. So if you already sent the signed I-693 together with the forms I-485 I-130, I think you won't receive any courtesy letter.

No, apply for jobs, get an offer and expedite. That way, once the background check is done, yours is already on the expedite pile. I would even enlist the help of your US senator(s), congressperson, Ombudsman.

Today at 4am, I received 7 text messages saying that there is an update on my case. I checked the app and under the I-485, it shows ?Fingerprints review was completed?. The I-765 still shows ?Case Received?. I?m wondering if the I-765 would also update?

Oh cool! 7 text messages sounds totally dramatic though for such a notification hahaha I would assumed that I-765 will update, but I wouldn't worry anyway since I-485 was updated.

Lol that?s what I thought too! 7 text messages and all said the same thing. It did get my attention tho haha. They came from a (505) area code.

I've just got a status update on I 485 yesterday "fingerprint review completed"; however, i didn't get any text.

Adjustment of Status (H1B married to USC) filing I-130, I-485, I-864, I-765 from Queens, NY (moving to upstate SC eventually):
* 10/29/2018 - Priority Date - Package received by USCIS
* 11/05/2018 - Checks cashed for both i-130 and i-485
* 11/05/2018 - 4 text messages received (11:20 pm)
* 11/09/2018 - 3 NoAs in mailbox NYC, I-130 notice in SC
* 11/15/2018 - Bio Appointment notification for 11/30
* 11/23/2018 - Biometrics Appointment Walk-In Queens, LIC
* 11/28/2018 - Fingerprint Review completed
