  • Resident since date on GC

    Hi,

I recently received my green card. The resident since date is my priority date. Is this a mistake? Has anybody experienced this?

If it is incorrect, how can I correct this?

    Thank you!

This link talks about what to do if your green card has the wrong resident since date. https://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/us...ed-green-cards I would first make an Infopass appointment. Show the Immigration officer the card and turn it in. BUT first, request the I-551 stamp on your passport. That will serve as proof of your permanent resident status. I believe you will have to fill out the I-90 and select "USCIS error". You may also make a xerox of the card, just in case you ever lose your passport, at least you'll have a copy, etc.

    All the best,

    USCFFS
