  • Job Changed & AOS Interview Scheduled Questions

    Hello,

    PD- 01/20/18
I am an US Citizen Spouse filling for my wife (she is currently visiting Home country for Medical reason on AP but soon be back)
The day I received interview notice, same day was first day of my New Job. I was not expecting interview this soon but We are happy.

    Question :

    1. As I changed a Job should I re-write entire form I-864 and bring it to interview OR should I inform the officer regarding new job along with supporting documents such as (Offer letter, Employment verification letter,Etc) ? (Current Income is higher than previous Job)

    2. last 3 months my wife was abroad for valid medical reason. So we dont have photos from last 3 months but we have Joint credit card statements that she has been using abroad frequently. will that work? (we can provide 6-7 years of photos ,statements, Lease and trips of us together)

    3. I got a Job 2 hours away from our Residential address.(I commute 2 times a week), will that be a problem? (we will be moving to new place in 2-3 months)

    4. As we wont have much time to do Medical in US, we contacted US Physician and they said You can bring Test Results Reports from USCIS assigned Hospitals Abroad sealed pack and Physician here will fill the form I-693 based on the test results. I hope this wont be a problem.

Please guide us. we really appreciate your time.

    Thank You.

Inform the officer, bring with you to the interview supporting documents such as (Offer letter, Employment verification letter,Etc). USCIS more care about IRS transcripts for your yearly income. As new Tax year not here yet, you don't need to rewrite your I-864.

Were you texting, emailing, making phone calls...? print out a records of your communication along with a reason why your wife was out of US for so long and bring along to interview.

The Physician should be on the list of Approved Physicians from US consulate webpage for your wife country. If he is listed on "travel.state.gov" should be fine.
I would contact embassy, they have line for US citizens and ask them or call number on your I-797C invitation for interview to confirm.
