    No, my case wasn?t denied. But I did my biometrics beforehand.

    Many thanks for your help.
    I honestly don?t know if starting the job will result in losing F1 status. I guess not. I will keep going to school as usual, full time, anyway.

        My Senator got back to me with this message from USCIS:

        Thank you for your inquiry regarding this constituent's immigration matter. Our records indicate that we are awaiting a response to our request for evidence (RFE) on the underlying I-485 application that was sent on 10/26/2018. Interim benefits, such as those applied for on Forms I-765 or I-131, are unable to be adjudicated while the underlying Form I-485 is held in suspense for the submission of initial evidence. Once we receive the response to the RFE, processing will resume on these cases. Please have your constituent follow any instructions on that notice.
        /////
        Well, that would be okay if I didn?t respond to the RFE but I did, 10 days ago. On November 7, I even got a status update on the case tracker saying that USCIS received my response to the RFE. I know that only means that some mail boy logged the response into their system. It doesn not mean an officer looked at it. But my question is, how long does it generally take foe USCIS to process the response to the RFE?

          I would then provide your senator with the evidence you submitted in response to the RFE. They will route it to the right person. Right now, that evidence is sitting on some pile. If you send it to your senator, they will send it to the Congressional Liaison, and they will hand deliver it to an adjudicator and ask them to process it right away because it is a congressional inquiry.

            That is what I emailed back. I emailed the Senator the status update from USCIS on Nov 7 and asked her to inform USCIS about it. We will see what happens.

              I am looking for a job to expedite my EAD.
              I called USCIS and according to Level2 they still haven?t receive a response from FBI regarding my Background check. My status is stuck in ?Fingerprint review completed since 10/04/2018. Will expedite request on my EAD trigger my background check to be cleared? Or will they just deny my expedite request?
              There is no way to speed up the FBI's response. Background checks run on their own time. The FBI check is one of 5 different checks they do. If you place a request to expedite, they would likely set it aside until your checks clear.

              I would do things in order. Just secure a job offer first - ANY JOB! - and then place the request to expedite.

                      EAD expedite while close to OPT expiration

                      My OPT is close to expiry. Didn't get lucky in h1b!

                      I have a concurrent filing I485-I765 from September and an interview date on Dec 4th. OPT expires Dec 15th. I was wondering if I should expedite the EAD card? If yes, under what reason people have filed the expedites so far? eg Financial Hardships etc.
                      Also what would be the evidence document? Expired EAD & Employment letter?

                      Under most ideal scenario I should have my GC by Dec 15th.
