Sorry this took so long to type up:

Our interview was at 6:45am at the Los Angeles office.

Our morning started off a bit crazy as my husband realized that he didn't have his wallet with his ID. He looked all over and couldn't find it and so he was panicking. Shortly after found out it was at his parents. Who are luckily on our way from where we live to where the interview was.

After sitting in traffic and finding parking and finding out how to get from the parking lot to the building in the dark we finally made it to the security line.

The security officers came through and checked peoples interview notices to see what time they were scheduled for. They pulled everyone with 6:45am interviews to the side and had us go through special security while others stayed in the regular line.

We met our lawyer and went upstairs and checked in and sat down and by this point it was about 7:00am.

The Immigration Officer called us in my husband shook his hand and we went in. The officer swore us in and asked for our ID's and passports.

He started to quietly go over our file. Asked my husband his name, where he crossed the border, how he came. Then asked me my name, if I knew his parents, what their names were, if they lived here, and what their status in the United States was. He also asked me if I knew my husband ex-wife's name and his sons name, and our daughters name. How many kids my husband had, how many kids I had. He asked me what our cell phone numbers were.

Then he proceeded to ask my husband some of the terrorism questions on the i485 and asked if my husband a new medical form. We told him that we had it done and it was supposed to ready today. He asked us if we could go get it and bring it back to him. We said absolutely.

After drama at the civil surgeons office we got the papers and went back to the USCIS office. While waiting for the papers we received text notification that the i130 had been approved,

Checked in and told them we were back to drop them off. After waiting two hours we found out no one had told the officer we were there even though they said they had. We saw the officer ourselves and he apologized for us having to wait so long.

He had us come in and sit down in his office while he finished something up on the previous interview. He then asked if the lawyer had come with us and we said no he wasn't able to come because he was busy. The officer said that's because he knew this would be easy.

He opened up my husbands new medical form while complaining about how much lawyers charge per hour and asked how much we had to pay for the new medical form and said that's ridiculous!

He then told us how they aren't supposed to let us bring it back in and he is supposed to issue an RFE but he felt belt and didn't want us to have any more sleepless nights. He asked when we got married and we told him and then he said well I am approving you guys right now.

He made us wait while he put all of the information directly into the computer and told us we were done and would receive his green card in 2-3 weeks.

I can still see his adorable face waving goodbye to us with a huge smile on his face telling us to go celebrate.

While we were out celebrating I got the text that his application had been approved and the card was ordered.

We received the card exactly 1 week later.

This was such a long process and I am so glad it is over.
