  • Interview Documents

    Hi all,
We are preparing for our interview for this upcoming Monday 29th in Orlando. We are obviously gathering as many documents as possible both originals and copies (better to have more than less I'm thinking). My question is will the officer have in his hand our original package of documents we sent last year when we applied? Only because some documents like our Marriage certificate, we already sent a certified copy with our original package and only have our original left. If need be I will drive to the courthouse and obtain another certified copy but was wondering if he has the package with him as well as us bringing our original to the interview will this suffice?

Yes the officer will have in front of him/her your original package what you have sent.

The certified copy - is original, i calling them "original copy" you could've sent just simple photocopy. The certified copy acts as original, people order then when they lost originals or they need more than one original.
Take with you The originals and photocopy of your married certificate, may be the officer will take a photocopy and give you back your certified copy.

If you submitted a photocopy of initial evidence bring just originals.
I've brought originals and photocopies, lots of them... the officer didn't ask for copies. She wanted to see originals to compare them to sent copies and mark kept copies.

    I know very confusing.

Great thank you for the info.

Also did you bring any additional passport photos to the interview? Or will they just use one of the ones from the original package for the eventual green card like my current EAD card?

Many have found this thread very useful in preparing their evidence for their initial AOS filing and the interview. https://www.immihelp.com/forum/showt...093#post585093
