EB2 - Interview done in September but case pending due to retrogression

Hello,

I had my interview for employment based GC - EB2 in September. All was good, but officer could not approve due too retrogression of visa numbers at end of fiscal year. As of Oct. 1st with start of the new fiscal year, dates are current again. However my case as not moved and shows no update online. Anyone else in the same position this year or previous years? How long did it take for the GC to arrive after dates became current again?

Any update on your case? I am exactly in the same situation, done EB2 itw September 27th, still nothing, even though my lawyer told me to expect to receive the GC mid October...

We are in same exact boat. Our interview was completed on Sep 26, 2018 under EB3 category. The immigration officer verbally explained the retrogression and sent us off. Since than the online status says 'my case must be reviewed'. Our priority date is April 2007, as per Dec 2018 visa bulletin, India EB3 current priority date is March 2009, but still no update what so ever. Not sure what the hold up is.

Hey, just wanted to update on my situation.

Case was approved on December 19th (online tracking was updated for my kid and my wife, but not for me). We received on the 24th the mail notification, and reiceved the GCs on the 31st

So let me understand. Even though you had your interview in September (as did we EB1) and your priority date became current in October you had to wait a total of three months!!? While current to receive your card?

That’s so frustrating. My PD became current this month and I was so hoping to get my GC this month but looks highly unlikely if people are waiting after interview and PD current for months without progress.

That's correct, and yes, it is frustrating. I had to start the L1 and temp AP/EAD extension while waiting for my GC. Better to do it for nothing, but I must admit I am now relieved!
