  • Green card in hand! February 2018-October 2018

    Hey all,

    Here is my timeline:

Note: Submitted without lawyer. Had lawyer for interview.

Profile: Young (late 20s) couple, US/Europe, both with advanced degrees, first marriage, no kids, SHORT relationship (met 4 months before marriage), his status was F1, no criminal history, very straightforward.

Because of this ^^, I think we had an easier time. We submitted POA, pics, texts & messages, lease, receipts for tickets & events but lacked joint account, shared health & life insurance, shared car insurance, etc. simply because I was in my final year of grad school and had all that through the university. If people want to know, I can submit a more detailed post on what we submitted & how we organized.

    Feb. 16, 2018: Sent packet (I-130/I-130A/I-485/I-765)
    Feb. 20, 2018: Packet received
Feb. 27, 2018: Receipt Notice date / fingerprint fee accepted
-I forget when our biometrics appointment was, but we did walk-in as soon as we got the notice-
April 4, 2018: Fingerprint review completed status update

Oct. 11, 2018: Interview! --> Easy, 15 mins, we got two main questions and a few follow-ups, and were asked to identify a couple pictures
Oct. 12, 2018: RFE for new G-28 (Form we submitted to have a lawyer at the interview)

Oct. 24, 2018: Card was mailed
Oct. 27, 2018: Out for delivery - NOT DELIVERED
Oct. 29, 2018: Called post office, they said it was delivered - NOT DELIVERED
Oct. 30, 2018: Stayed home all day, waited for mail carrier. Mail carrier called & texted multiple people because she is an angel and she tracked it down, went back to the post office, and delivered it by hand at the end of the day <3 <3 <3
Oct. 30, 2018: AP document was produced LOL
