  • "If you have any attachments, make sure each attached page has your name..."?

    Hi,

I am preparing to file forms I-485, I-130, and I-765for myself based on marriage to a U.S. Citizen. While preparing the packet, I noticed a sentence in the USCIS's "Form Filing Tips" section:

[quote]If you have any attachments, make sure each attached page has your name and A-Number (if any). You may also number the pages and include the total amount of pages being attached (for example, ?page 1 of 11?).[quote]

Does this mean that all pages of my supporting documentation (birth certificates, I-94s, etc...) should have my name, etc. added in as header/footer? I've mostly been gathering information about the procedures on my own and can't seem to find an answer to this question.

I interpreted this as referring to attachment pages that extend the forms themselves (ie, when the space on the forms isn't sufficient). I only put name and DOB on the photos. As for the supplementary / supporting material, I just listed it clearly in the table of contents, by section, which were marked with post-it style tabs (about 8-10 of them).

But if in doubt, why not mark each page with name/DOB/A-number (if you have one)?
