IT's been 304 days since I filed I-130 and I-485 together. The I-485 case is ready to be scheduled for an interview, and yet my I-130 is still saying Case was Received. Is there any way I can file an outside normal time processing for I-130. If so, which office should I select? I send everything in Chicago. But, when can't find Chicago in the dropdown menu for I-130.

Also, it's been at least 4 months since I-485 hasn't changed anything...what should i do???

    Thanks in advance,
I found this information on this website. It shows the service center of your state. For example, I am in Utah, my sc is Nebraska. My receipt number starts with MSC, which means my i-131 and I-765 are being processed by NBC.

          • Hey y'all, it's been a while. Had our interview this morning. Officer was pleasant, cordial and professional. Told us at the end that there were no outstanding concerns and the GC should be with us in the mail in a few weeks. Received an email just now saying our case has moved to "Card/ Document Production".

            Woohoo!

Yep... I'm in the same boat. Filed in November 2018; I-485 has been ready to be schedule for interview since February. I did receive my EAD/AP card in late April (see my signature). My local FO is Minneapolis which is one of the slowest offices in the country. Processing times for family based applications at Minneapolis is 12.5 - 25 months. I'm expecting my interview notice to arrive sometime in late October.

                    • We had our interview the day after Labor Day-- September 3, 2019. The interview went sooo smoothly. I had organized a binder with a copy of each form (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-864, taxes, proof of joint life (lease, photos, plane tickets, joint credit card, bank statements, beneficiary of 401k, car insurance). I tabbed each of the forms, had one for identity docs with all his and mine identity and imm. docs. (passports, social security, birth certificates, marriage certificate, his EAD, his I-20, his F1 Visa, his I-94 arrival doc.). We were sooo overly prepared for any questions but the interviewing officer basically asked information from our forms. He directed the I-130 questions to me since I was petitioning on behalf of my husband and basically only asked how we met and where my husband was from and where his family lived. He then directed the I-485 questions to my husband. Again basically just biographical information and all the questions asking if he had ever committed a crime, or was a Communist, or a prostitute. I handed the officer are 2018 tax returns and some new evidence of joint life (updated bills, photos, travel together, lease). He then told us we were approved. We both got so excited as he began to fill out a form saying what would happen next and kind of froze when he was like what was your marriage date. LOL. I was already out to lunch in my mind having a celebratory drink. Luckily my husband, (the non native speaker ) answered for me. We got updated on the various egov. myuscis websites that we were approved that day. I believe that same week we received the approval notices for the I-130 and I-485. Then the following week we got the actual card! Now we can go to Greece and Albania for Christmas and celebrate his birthday with the family!

Sending all the good vibes to those still waiting. It's coming soon November filers!

                        • Our process was very straightforward, here I share our timeline, the interview was held in Los Angeles USCIS office.

We prepared a Binder that weighed about 4 pounds with a Table of Contents, but the officer only asked for key documents and some photos.

                          • Hey guys,

My wife and I had our AOS interview on September 16th. Early morning in Minneapolis. The officer went over the I-130 with me (Husband) and I-485 with my Wife. No other questions were asked!!!!! We gave the IO our newly submitted paper works. This includes, ( 2018 tax return, water bill, new sign lease, and health insurance.) And, That was it. Didn't ask how we met, how I propose to her, our life, and etc. I'm a little bit worried.

The whole interview took about 10 mins or so. At the end of the interview, the IO gave us a paper stating that he could not approve us on the spot and needs further background checking. It's been seven days now. Our case status has not changed. Still says the case was scheduled.

Anyone has this kind of experience????? or know how long it will take for them to approve us? or...anything????????????

So worried right now and can't do anything.

If anyone out there is having the same experience or close to it. Would mind sharing their thoughts or feelings??????

                            Much appreciated.

                            Thank you,

Thanks for the quick response. Overall, it was very weird. Cause the IO didn't ask any personal questions. This got us very worried.
