First post, seeking some help... I just learned that there is a my.uscis.gov that appears be much more up to date.

    Our current status:

    Received AOS package 11/5/2018
    [I-765 rejected for filing error]
[I-485 with NOA had birth date typographical error by USCIS, letter sent]
Biometrics [I-485] notice date 11/9/2018; scheduled for 11/29/2018
    Received I-765 resubmission 11/23/2018
    Biometrics [I-485] walk-in 11/21/2018
Biometrics [I-765] notice date 11/30/2018; scheduled for 12/20/2018
    Biometrics [I-765] walk-in 12/14/2018
USCIS typographical error corrected [I-485] 1/12/2019

Now on egov.uscis.gov, there was no communication after the biometrics was done.
I just learned of my.uscis.gov and I found entries that note:

    Fingerprint review complete 11/27/2018
    Fingerprint review complete 12/3/2019

Both under I-485 (not sure why? both are also before the biometrics for I-765 were completed). There are no entries for I-765 other than the receipt of our resubmitted application.

We are not too concerned with the processing time for the I-485, but certainly concerned about the processing time for the combo card for travel purposes.

Should we take alarm based on not having a fingerprint review complete notification under I-765?

A separate but related note: we did not submit another biometrics fee with the resubmitted I-765, noting that it was in relation to a I-485.
How come you have separate biometrics for i765 and i485? If you filed concurrently should it not be covered by the same biometrics? Also have you filed advanced parole (if you are planning to travel abroad)?

      • "Fingerprint Review was Completed" status missing

Our status is still "Ready to be Scheduled for Interview," but after checking the more detailed Case History on my.uscis.gov, I notice that we do not have "Fingerprint Review was Completed" status.

Is anyone else missing this status?

I'm wondering if they just didn't update that since these statuses can be inconsistent, or if there's some delay.

Don't worry, many times they don't update to "Fingerprint Review Was Completed" (read many reports on this forum).

Actually, I found that a lot of people get either ?ready to be scheduled? OR ?fingerprints reviewed?...and go straight to interview scheduled/EAD, no matter what your status is. Go figure...

The I-765 was rejected due to an error in our application. In the meanwhile, the I-485 application generated a biometrics schedule.

After the biometrics was completed, we received another biometrics schedule for the I-765. I called to ask if we needed to attend that one, which they replied back by saying that it's a different scan. We went in to get it done and when we went, they simply said we were in the system so nothing more had to be done.

                So...

                1. we have never received any alert regarding no-show to the I-765 biometrics, despite the status page showing nothing.
                2. we have filed for AP, but that case has no status update.
                3. we also filed the I-130, but that case has no status update.

I'm supposing the I-130 + I-485 processing is separate from the I-765 and I-131 applications. We're more in need of the AP as we already have an EAD under F1. Kind of hoping that the rejected/reapplied I-765 does not delay the AP...

I see. It is not a very common situation so it will probably be difficult to assess if this impacts any of the processing times.

There is no delay, your case skipped the fingerprint competed status and went straight to ready for interview.
Same thing happened with my case and status updates on fingerprint updates are very inconsistent.

Be careful of mixing and matching OPT EAD and AOS AP. My understanding is that if you travel abroad and return on an AOS AP, all your prior statuses including dependent EADs would be invalid. So if you want to work after traveling on an AOS AP, you would need need an AOS EAD since your OPT EAD would become invalid when you become a parolee.

I see, thanks for the heads up. We obviously wanted to get the combo card, but the rejected/reapplied I-765 is the concern...

                            • Got this letter as well!

I realized that the information on my spouse?s tax returns were in the front and back pages but I copied only the front. They were not specific at all! I had to figure it out myself.

Received the notification on 1/21 and just sent it out today 2/2. The polar vortex kept me indoors for a whole week. Fingers crossed to see how this goes

[QUOTE=CTi485;590739]We seem to have had the exact same letter!!!

Will be sending the whole thing again, everything they have asked for was in the original application so all pretty confusing!
