Hi, I have a couple of questions regarding I-485 Supplement J and would appreciate some input.
When I joined my current company in May, 2016 they filed for a portability request with USCIS. Right now, they are planning to file my I-485 Supplement J. My first question is - does my company need to file it? Per my understanding, it applies to people who switched jobs after Jan, 2017 only. And for context, the USCIS has not issued a RFE for it in my case.
My second question is how long should I wait to change jobs after a I-485 Supplement J has been filed for me? I am currently being approached with a couple of job offers.
