  • Question regarding EAD renewal.

I?m AOS through marriage and my package was received November 2017. I got my EAD and AP combo card in February 2018 and I still haven?t received the interview schedule. I have a lawyer and he hasn?t mentioned anything about renewing but I?m worried that the interview won?t get here before it expires and I?ll be out of work. Should I go ahead and reapply on my own?

Funny thing, my interview was scheduled today. I got the text and I couldn?t believe it.

I would apply for renewal. It's happened that folks have had to wait months after the interview to get approved. Some do get approved on the spot or shortly after - it's not the rule, though.

Well my EAD through AOS expires on Feb 2019. But I have my DACA EAD that expires on November 2019. I was just doing it for AP.

To file for renewal of your AP, then you have to file a I-131. They won't just automatically renew it by filing the I-765 renewal.

I guess I?ll just wait and see what happens after the interview. I still have the DACA EAD to back me for 1 more year.

Congratulations on getting your interview date! It seems like you?re adjusting thru marriage from DACA as well... I?m in the same boat. My timeline is in my signature... where is your field office? Seeing people receive their interview notices gives me hope that eventually I?ll get mine! Looks like I?m in for a long wait...

When should I receive the letter with my appointment date? It?s been a week and nothing. USCIS says that it?s normal?
