Looks like about a year and a half wait...
Wow... with those timelines you linked below it looks like I and anyone else who filed in June/July 2018 won’t be getting our interviews scheduled until November/December 2019... geez. I guess the EAD/AP card renewal will be mandatory... bummer. I have an out of country trip planned for October 2019... fingers crossed they move a lot faster than this timeline...
Originally posted by UScitizenFilingforspouse View PostThe San Francisco Field Office was one of many field offices to experience a system glitch that affected the order in which USCIS scheduled interviews earlier this year.
The system stopped scheduling interviews for family based AOS cases filed in 2017; and instead, it started scheduling cases filed in 2018. Furthermore, it scheduled interviews for these family-based AOS interviews as employment-based interviews.
Folks were getting green cards within 90 days. This went on for a good 6 months. It really threw off the processing times for all the offices affected.
As you might imagine, those field offices are now catching up with cases filed in 2017.
So there you have it. The USCIS Circus - in a nutshell.DACA approved: 12/2014

I used to sort it by PD at first, but just a few days ago, I sorted it by Interview Date. That is when I realized what A CIRCUS it is. It is random. They have no way of keeping track of who is next in line. There are many posts confirming that it's random on T*R*@*C*K*1*T*T.
They will never admit to it, though. ANYWAY...Last edited by UScitizenFilingforspouse; 12-28-2018, 03:12 AM.

Not having dependents? I don't think that's it either, because officers earn easy productivity points for approving an AOS petition that involves children. Their background checks are really straightforward.
I do keep track of the Visa types. It seems like the Minneapolis Field Office prioritizes K-1s. That makes sense because USCIS used to waive those interviews for most applicants who filed for AOS before 04-17-17.
Other than that, there seems to be no rhyme or reason to how they select cases for interview.

I would try a different browser. Firefox seems to work best.
