  • Request for Evidence

    Hi Everyone,
I filed for adjustment of status through my son being a US citizen in March 2018. I received my EAD at the end of July. Today I have received a 'Request for Evidence' letter asking me to complete the medical examination and send it to them by the end of January 2019. Does anyone know if this means I will probably not be called for an interview.
    Thankyou all for your advise.

YES! That's exactly what it means. USCIS waives most interviews for immediate relatives that are not spouses of US citizens; i.e., parents and unmarried sons or daughters under 21. I would complete it as soon as possible and send it to them. Remember that it will be less expensive if you are able to provide your immunization records. That way they can just transcribe the information. Do not forget to get the flu shot. We're in flu season now.

    All the best,

Yes, it is great news! You will get your 10 year green card in the mail. Make sure that the civil surgeon signs the form. You also have to sign it in his presence.
