Hi guys, I have a question on replacing my SSN card while I485 pending, has anyone here ever changed your SSN card even you got the restricted SSN already? (the one said "valid for work only with DHS authorization"). My question is can I replace my card to the unrestricted one (the SSN card that doesn't say anything like a US citizen)? I'm currently having pending I485 and I already got EAD card. Thank you a lot!!

You?re SSN will remain restricted until you get a green card. The EAD is the authorization from DHS that your SS card refers to.Adjustment of Status c(9) 400 days
