Had my interview today. After the security check, we were asked to wait in the 2nd floor. After 25 mins of wait, we were called inside.
The officer said the good news is visa is available and she can approve it if everything looks good. We were sworn oath and asked the following questions
- Confirm name, DOB, address, parent's name, etc.
- Lots of questions on our marriage
- How did we meet?
- Who proposed?
- How many people attended?
- Where our marriages happened.
- Yes/no questions
- I had a ticket from a year-long traffic accident. Showed that the ticket was paid and case was closed.
- My wife recently got a Trimet citation for expired ticket. We showed it was paid.
- Other questions on visa denial, deportation, lying to a government officer, government assistance, any crime, etc.
- I told if she need my EVL, I485-J and paystubs, she said yes.
She told her system is down currently so she can put it on the system. She will do it later this week and we should have our GC by early December. She even told my wife that she can inform her employer that she is a permanent resident now.
I am not sure she was simply not aware of retrogression or visas have become available for EB1 ROW category. I'll be very surprised if I get the physical card this year. Anybody else had similar experience?
Hope my above experience helps. Thank you so much to this forum and good luck to everyone else.
