I had my interview on October 25th, 2018 at the Houston Texas office. Once they took me and my wife inside the officer asked us how we met and if we had my medical report. Our lawyer did not tell us that after a year the medical report expires so when asked by the office we said no as we thought the old one would suffice. After that he asked us to show our marriage license, marriage pictures and other proof of a valid marriage. The officer was extremely nice and he asked our address and what we do for a living. After all that was done he told us that we were pretty much approved but he needed an updated medical report. So the same day I went and got my tests done which takes 72 hours to get back. Once I got my medical back (Oct 30th) I mailed it in overnight to make sure they got it as fast as possible. They updated the website that they got the medical the next day (Oct 31st) and that they are reviewing it and they will let me know if they need anything else from me. We got an approval notice in the mail, I130, petition for alien relative which is an approval. Our lawyer told us that this basically means that he believes our marriage is valid. Based on when when we received it (notice date was 10/25), it must have been sent out even before we submitted the medical exam. I have been reading a lot of forums and all of them are saying it can take up to 60 days for them to look at the medical and send out the green card. I was wondering if anyone had the same experience as me and how long it took!
