No separate section for I-751, so asking here

Hi, my 2 years of conditional gc period is almost over and I have to file I-751 before January so have been preparing the packet.

After getting AOS approved, with my conditional green card, I changed my first and last name through district court locally, changed my name to my new name on driver license and social security card. Though, I left my green card and passport name as my old name in case if I wanted to change back just in case.

Would that complicate my application? I was told that it is not by law required to match names on green card and ss or dl.

Also, would I apply as my name on green card and list my new name as ?other names used? section?

We had a similar issue with our adjustment of status. I would recommend you file the 751 in your original name as is on your card and passport and add your new name in the additional names and provide a copy of the court decision for the name change with the packet.
