Should I call the USCIS and speak to a level 2 officer? I called them Friday to confirm my current address and they have it. They told me that the field offices will give me a date once they?re ready but wasn?t that the whole point of waiting?

Well my lawyer received a copy of the letter but I didn?t. Interview scheduled for Dec. 18th.
My wife and I didn?t file taxes together or have joint accounts. We respect each other finances. As long as we pay half on bills, we do what we want with our money. She has a small loan from the bank where I?m the co-signer but that was before we got married and was submitted with the initial evidence along with the previous rent leases in both of our names before we got married. I have car insurance with her on it and a car I bought with her being the co-signer. But that was also submitted in the initial package.
We tried to buy a house together but I wasn?t able to because I wasn?t a permanent resident so it?s only on her name. That was done after we got married but my wife said I?m listed on the house mortgage insurance. So she will get that to submit as new documentation. The house she bought has the utility bills under my name with her listed as well. I plan on using the utility bills as new documentation but I have read somewhere that it was kinda vague documentation. We have old pics on ******** from like when we started dating in like 2009 but we figured those pics were vague evidence. We have pics of trips we have taken since we got married and we submitted some of those already too. But plan on taking more pics since then. (I’m not a picture person)
That?s all I have regarding joint assets and liability, I think that the lack of joint bank accounts or credit cards and filing together is significant but won?t really affect me. But I feel like we don?t really have much to show for new evidence under joint assets. Any help will be appreciated.Last edited by Emt; 11-19-2018, 12:44 PM.

Focus on the longevity of the relationship. Evidence of bona fide marriage does not mean "since the date of your marriage". Start your evidence since the day you met.

Update on the letter:
Called the USCIS and talked to level 2 rep. They said they mailed it to my old address.... The officer said she didn?t understand why they would mail it to my old address. My lawyer submitted the change of address request and I received the receipts from that in the mail at our new place. Here?s hoping the mailman brings it to my new place like he?s been bringing all my other junk mail that still comes to that address.

It might be a good idea to consider an Advance Health Care Directive and a Financial power of attorney. I would even submit a notarized affidavit of residence stating that you live there.

You just have to look hard at how you pay for things and explain - in full sentences. Show proof that you pay half and your spouse pays half, etc. But explain it, don't just present statements and expect the officer to connect the dots. They don't have to. The burden of proof rests upon you to show that your marriage is bona fide.

Cause you're going to need it if you're not willing to listen to the advice you asked for.
