  • HELP! Frustrating for EAD card!!! :(

    Guys, need your advice!
I came to US as F1 student visa & married to my lovely wife, who is US citizen. Here's my timeline:

    - Priority date: 20 SEP 2018.
    - Biometrics: 30 OCT 2018.
    - National Benefits Center.
    - I submitted my i765 from Dallas-FW, TX and then moved to Virginia with my wife. (have submitted CHANGE OF ADDRESS to Virginia).

Since then, today 22 NOV 2018 & 22 days passed, I still got no news about my EAD card or work permit status.
So frustrating and stressful as I make no income & only rely on my wife.

Anybody please gives me advice, or is it because of my moving that USCIS delays my EAD?

My date is similar to yours PD is 9/21/18 and bio done 10/29/28 and I haven?t gotten any update since. I?ve been checking both site daily but nothing. The movin has nothing to do with the delay...I guess we can?t depend on these site but be patient. I believe we?ll get our EAD by December, hopefully by God?s grace!.

Why are you so frustrated? You filed 2 months ago. The processing times for the EAD is 4-6 months, maybe more for some.

Wow, we are really on same boat!

I am currently living in VIRGINIA now with my wife. So where is your location?
Some people says crowded states like California or Texas will be long queue, and small states like Virginia or Idaho will be processing faster.

The EAD has nothing to do with the location. Adjacent applications to the I-485 are processed at the NBC.

Yes and no. The adjudicators at the NBC try to prioritize combo card petitions of those folks in slow jurisdictions. And that makes sense - Why waste time processing EADs for folks in e.g., Jacksonville, FL where people are getting interviews within 90 to 180 days of filing?

                  Same situation

                  Hi,
My PD is on July 5 2018.
                  I live in Austin, TX.
I'm still waiting for my EAD. I called them last month and the customer representative told me that the process time will be 4-6 months.
You can check the processing time on USCIS' website. It recently processed the cases before June 30, 2018.

His priority date for his green card is April 9 and we haven’t heard anything about that and everyone who filed around the same time has either gotten their green card already, is waiting on a decision or has it their interview scheduled.

I would reach out to your US Senator(s), Congressperson and Ombudsman. US Senator(s) can shake the tree for you hard.

What I've got from the Senator and congresswoman were their email and silence.
Been a month. I don't even know if these people even work or not.

EAD will usually take 3-6 months these days as things have changed. I applied in July 2018 and I received my EAD in hand on Jan 3rd 2019. I live in St. Louis, Missouri. So you have some more time to wait.

I live around st. Louis as well. I applied in August and still waiting for my EAD. This thing can be very frustrating. Do you send your medical (I693)with your application. Where and how much does it cost if you already done your medical. Thanks
