  • Affidavit support still needed when income alone meet requirement?

Hi Guys, I filed AOS c9 for my spouse since Dec 2017 and still waiting for interview
A friend of mine was a sponsor at the time of filling AOS, but few months ago he lost his job
For the year of 2018, I'm making more than enough income, my question is:
    When interview happens in 2019
@ Will USCIS accept my income alone (do they count 3 years cause I didn't make enough in 2016, 2017)?
@ Or I must look for new sponsor?
    Thanks for your inputs
Have a great weekend & Good luck guys!

    My case
I have co-sponsor when I filed on 8/2017 cause my husband didn?t file tax for 3 years. I had interview 8/2018, we brought our tax return 2017(meet income requirement). They didn?t ask anything about co sponsor or my husband ?s income. I think all they care is you guys file tax together or not. Good luck.

I would just bring a new I-864 that designates you as the sponsor. Just tell the interviewing officer that this new I-864 replaces the one you sent with the AOS petition.

Presenting your 3 most recent federal income taxes is optional. They really only require the most recent federal income tax. By the time you get to the interview, you would just present your 2018 married filing jointly OR separately federal income taxes
