What is a PD or priority date that everyone refers to? And how do I find it?

It's your place in the queue line. It's usually the date that USCIS receives your AOS filing.

It?s not significant if you are adjusting based on marriage to a US Citizen. In other categories, there are limited amounts of immigrant visas. After submiting the I-130, they have to wait until their priority dates is current before they can apply for the visa. Spouses (and a few others) always have visas available so they?re priority date is current the moment they file. It?s why you?re allowed to file concurrently.
