  • Interview was today pd12/08/16 f2a

    My PD is 12/08/16
I moved from Florida to Indiana last month and I got my interview already.

Interview was confusing to me because when we got there and waited for an hour. They called my name my husband and I got up, but the officer told my husband to wait outside.... ok 👀🤨
So I went in go over the form, very the information,
    We both signed the application.
He asked for proof of marriage so i gave him pictures and bank statements for 5 months and our new lease. I had cards but he didn’t need them.
He looked at our wedding pictures and recent pictures after that he gave them back. He comments about our pictures and he said he got all he needed and he didn’t need to interview my husband 😲😲😲 so um THE ONLY thing he has to look into is the fact that I entered the US EWI once however I got PAROLED in a few years ago and maintain my status since. He also said I should get an answer in the mail soon or if he needs anything else from me, he’ll request it but everything looks very good so I should be fine.

You already have an approved I-130 under your belt! They're not doubting your marriage. This interview really just was/is about your admissibility. I don't see any issues. Just wait. You should get your approval and 10 year green card soon.

Thank you for replying, I’ve been married for 3 years and I am hoping that the Ewi doesn’t cause my case to be denied. My husband is Not a US Citizen.

        Update

So just wanted to update this. They finally approved my case on 3/08/2019. Interview was 12/03/2018
6 days after my interview my status changed to case must be reviewed. I didn?t get a letter as to why but the officer did verbally told me he had to check on my Ewi. On February 21st I went to in info pass. I only spoke to the receptionist my officer wasn?t there. She made a copy of my expired AED and said she?d leave a note for my officer.... I am glad that it is finally over! My journey started on 12/08/2016 my husband is a lpr. I was able to adjust in the U.S even though I had an EWI. I knew my EWi would be an issue so since I had TPS I applied for a travel document and went back home to get back in legally. After my travels I sent my i-130.
I did everything by myself btw. No lawyers. You can do it tooo.
