  • Question on online status update after interview.

    Hello All,

Me and my wife attended the interview on Nov 27 and USCIS officer was satisfied with our interview.

On Nov 30 th the online status of my wife (dependent) was updated and her I-485 has been approved.

However me being Primary. My status is not yet updated.

How long does it generally take after the interview in status update and receiving the card in mail.?

    please share your experience.

If you are a primary applicant and your relatives were approved, there is nothing for you to worry about. They won't be approved if there is any issue with your case.
So it would make sense to assume that your case is approved as well.

Once your status changes to "Card Mailed", it will take around 3 days to get to your address.

How long does it take to change from "Approved" to "Mailed" - it's a good question, but usually it takes no more than 1 week. USCIS advises, however, that you patiently wait for 30 days since the approval to get your card in hands.

My status changed to "New Card Is Being Produced" on Nov 16th, and I had it in hands on Nov 26th (took 10 days because of Thanksgiving in between the status changes).
