I recently filed my I-485, but forgot to add the biometrics fee and only sent a check of $1140 as a filing fee. So two weeks later, USCIS returned my package with all the forms and supporting documents. I am ready to send the corrected amount but I am actually in a confusion since all the documents including my I-693 (medical record which was sealed) has been opened and stamped on the bottom of every page and if i have to resend the package with new corrected Payment amount, do i need to send the new i693 and all the forms & supporting documents again (new) or will i be able to just write a corrected Payment Amount along with the returned package. I would really appreciate any sort of help in this matter. Did anyone come up with similar dilemma ???? Thank you

I would advise to not bother and just resend the same i-693. This form is only valid for so much time and you might have to repay for it anyway if your interview is in more than one year from the date the form was signed. So best case scenario, they accept this I-693 and your interview is scheduled under a year and you don't have to do it again. Worst case scenario, they're unhappy with it and you have to bring a new sealed form at the interview. If you pay for a new sealed form now, you might still have to pay for it in the future. Meanwhile, it's totally fine to bring the i-693 only on the day of your interview.C9 NY
