  • AOS Interview questions were odd

My husband and I had our interview today. We were never asked anything about our marriage or relationship but were asked about previous marriages which we both have. He wanted to know the name of my ex-husband and the name of my Sons father which he wrote down. He did not ask any questions or ask for any evidence of our relationship. We have been together for 8 years and married for 1.5. At the end we not approved straight away and given a letter saying further review.

Does anyone else find that odd?

We just had our interview last week. I got divorced in February 2017 and remarried in October 2017. They asked for my ex-husbands name, if he was an immigrant (was not) and if I had to sponsor him or anyone else before (no)

She did ask about the timeline overlapping, when we met and when I was divorced. I just explained that my divorce was final in February 2017 but we had negotiated the terms back in October and that is how long it took to be official. She asked how we met and didn't really ask a lot of questions about our relationship. I had 300 pages of new evidence to submit and all she wanted was the new tax returns

Our case was approved that day. Hope that helps
