Enter the US with the Combo card

Hello folks,

Can I check anyone experienced when entering the US with the Combo card, will you just present to the Immigrant officer at the airport your passport + a card only? Do you also need to show them the approval notices of EAD / AP ??

Hiii im filling out my I-131 form (i regret not doing it when i first filed for AOS)...and they ask on the form the reason for my travel..do i have to put that? WhAt do u think based on your husbands experience?

If you have something planned, I’d put it. But if not, just say something along the lines of “no travel currently planned”

No, they don't ask for any reasons or purposes. You should not get to that if you are filling out the form correctly.

I just saw my I-131, my lawyer left it blank on Part 4.
In Part 2, she checked 1d. (I'm applying for AP to allow me to return to US after temp foreign travel)
Part 3, it would ask you 'Date of Intended departure' & expected days you'd stay (you can put your future travel date)

anyway, there is more after that...
better contact lawyer but you should be fine filling it on your own... I don't know.

Now that I’m adjusting status, I understand that I have to show my passport and EAD to the officer. I know that in the airports people get oftentimes sent to secondary but how does it work for land crossings? If we cross by car, will I get sent to secondary, too?

YOu have nothing to worry, the only difference now from your previous land border crossings is that with the EAD/AP combo card will have you go through a secondary immigration check which is about 10-15 minutes additional time. The border officer will direct you to another location for the secondary check and in that office your passport will be stamped by the immigration officer and a departure card will be stapled in the same page as well. There will be the usual questions about the reason you travelled out of the US and confirm other information that may be available to them on your AOS application. I recently crossed the land border myself with my husband and there were no issues.
