Can AP be used to re-enter the US after a cruise? Im still waiting to be approved but God knows I need a vacation

Have u ever used it? I was wondering if the passport has to be the one w/ the expired visa? In my case, my visa expired 10+ years ago. My husband used his 3 times (not cruises). His visa wasn’t expired but was in his old passport. He brought it with him in case there was any issues with the AP, but they didn’t care about that at all. You have to use the AP enter and it is all the proof you need that you are allowed in. It’s specifically what it’s for. Your prior status doesn’t matter. I’ve yet to see any stories on here of not being allowed back in.
